Very very late comment but I love House, i think I disagree that it's totally vapid. It's fun, very anime like with its logic and effects. Like adum said the music is great and so are the map-paintings, acting is awesome and most of all it's hilarious and even more so with friends or a crowd. 10/10 from me imo

So, I actually like Moulin Rouge, but I think a massive reason why is that... I had no idea it was a jukebox musical for YEARS. I was not raised on popular American music at all, and I thought every song in the movie was original. I do agree about the other issues with the film though. It's unpleasantly chaotic and shallow.

This was an absolutely great Sardonicast episode because Ed Wood is the movie that inspires me to make my own movies and I saw Furiosa twice in theaters! I'm glad they enjoyed both films even if they were to some extent but this episode really made my day and I'll keep listening to this one over and over! 10/10!!!

I just want to say that in regards to Doctor Sleep i'm glad its more Stephen King than Stankey Kubrick just because I don't think it could even hope to match up. I think the only reason that movie worked as well as it did was because they recognized their limitations and went in a different direction. And I do think Doctor Sleep is a little bit underrated. Its not perfect and its absolutely not on the same level as The Shining but I feel its positives outweigh its negatives.

The shields create an atomic explosion when hit by a laser beam coming from a lasgun, killing the gunner and the target simultaneously. This is why they use daggers and swords. However, when fighting in the deep desert, outside of fortifications like the city of Arrakeen, they don’t use shields because the micro vibrations coming from them attract the worms. This is why we see lasgun fights in Part II, like in the opening scene where the Fremen kill the Harkonnen snipers. In that scene, the snipers actually mention not to turn on their shields, so a. They don’t attract the worms, and b. They don’t cause an atomic explosion. So yea, there’s more thought put into the hand to hand combat than just unnecessary action scenes with swords in a sci-fi context.

Going on 10 years of consuming YMS content and I cannot believe how much this news has affected me. I can't even begin to imagine the effect this loss is having on anyone who has ever had the opportunity to know or even meet Scott. Thank you for all the joy and laughter you brought to the world, Mr. Henson. I may never get the chance to meet you but I know, with 100% certainty, that you are loved and missed. To the family, to Adam, and all associated with Scoot, I hope you get to grieve and heal with all the time you need. And that, when the time is right, we can celebrate the life of Scott Henson together.
